Progress

“Progress” is set up to the theme of the 13th ISCI. Handling many issues, we, the committee of Ibaraki University students, have consulted staff from Ibaraki Prefecture, from Mito city, from Ibaraki International Association, as well as from Mito City International Association, and we also have worked together with on-campus students, friends from campus club activities, students from Tokiwa University. Last year, such significant discussions among the related groups lead us to make a one-day excursion to Mito city for the first time since the start of the session. The number of students participating in the committee is increasing year after year. To proceed with further development of the session, we aspire to keep challenging ourselves and to foster students who can greatly contribute to this globalized society.

Topics

  • Science&Engineering
  • Agriculture
  • Humanities and Society
  • Education
  • Ibaraki
  • Student Life

We provide a variety of topics in order many students to attempt to give a presentation irrespective of their major. A newly implemented topic “Student Life” will be suitable for high-school students who are keen to make a presentation in English although they aren’t engaged in a research work, allowing them to present what they have learned at school/after-school activities.
